Al’s Wordpress Adventures

VentOkay, pretty much everyone knows I have a gamey-site. I also designed it myself. Even when I hadn’t broken the layout it still looked crappy, but I have been on a bit of a gaming rampage lately and have been blogging on it more. The next step is to give it a new image, I want it to be less…. whats that word the designers use…. “shit” and more “awse”. To do this I have to either do a design myself(hahahahahaha) or download a theme for wordpress.

Wordpress themes aren’t as easy as I was hoping. Trying to find something I am happy with is hard enough, let alone having to put up with someone elses dodgy CSS and mods that break everything. On top of that, all sites pretty much have the same free ones. For easier blogs I’m sure this will be pretty easy to manage, but of course, I like being difficult. Having said that, the site isnt particularly difficult. There are some simple CSS and layout errors that can be fixed but there appears to be code that is extremely hard to track down. The only time I remember to try to reskin the site is either late at night or on a Sunday. Both times, my attention span for this kind of thing is that of a newt. I’m not really sure where to go from here, as I’m not too keen on leaving the site in limbo, but I won’t spend a few hours hacking up a theme I don’t think much of to begin with.
